Our security and terrorism training helps organisations develop the knowledge, confidence and practical capability needed to identify security concerns, reduce vulnerability and respond effectively to terrorism related risks.
With the introduction of The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, commonly known as Martyn’s Law, many organisations are now reviewing how they prepare their people, premises and procedures. Our crisis management training helps organisations prepare for serious incidents, disruption and high pressure situations where normal management arrangements may no longer be enough.
We focus on the human and operational realities of crisis response, including decision making under pressure, crisis leadership, information management, communication, team coordination, escalation and recovery.
Training can be delivered for strategic leaders, tactical management teams, incident response teams, communications teams or wider business functions.

Mental health first aid training helps organisations create a more supportive workplace by developing employees who can recognise signs of mental health difficulty, have appropriate conversations and guide colleagues towards suitable support.
This training is not about turning employees into counsellors or clinicians. It is about giving people the confidence to notice when someone may be struggling, respond appropriately and understand how to support early intervention.
Flexible Delivery Options
Most of our courses can be delivered at Oakwood’s training centre at Hethel Engineering Centre in Norfolk, in house at the client’s location or virtually via MS Teams.
For organisations training multiple employees, in house or virtual delivery can be a cost effective way to build awareness and capability across teams, departments or sites. It also allows the course to be tailored to the client’s operating environment, premises, staff roles and specific risk profile.
